Hi, I’m Jamie- Certified Pediatric Registered Nurse (2014)

I’m so lucky to have been able to make a career out of my love for children. As a pediatric nurse I have had many rewarding experiences helping children and their families through incredibly difficult medical challenges. My experience ranges from the pediatric primary care setting to the pediatric cardiac transplant unit at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, Manhattan. I also have the honor of teaching and training new nurses on best practice and standards for exceptional care.

Pediatric injections come with unique considerations. It is an art that requires poise. Minimizing procedural pain is of utmost importance. In my extensive experience with injections, proper preparation through therapeutic communication, numbing cream, and some secret “tricks” have shown to dramatically improve quality outcomes.

I have learned through both my practice and motherhood, that each and every child is different. The one size fits all approach is not applicable in the pediatric world. I individualize my style of care with patients and clients alike.

After undergoing plastic surgery from incorrect ear piercing and subsequent infections, I finally found Blomdahl.
